Leaving on the Four Corners trip in June of 1998

My first race, January 30th, 1999 on my stock, 36000 mile ZX-9R. Self painted. Don't bother to ask how I matched the Kushitani Gloves to the Upper, it was just pure luck.

Loaded up and trucking... err riding. This was just for a 3 day camping trip. I learned how to pack light for the Four Corners trip a year later.

My amateur year. Turn 4 at Road Atlanta. 31 is being lapped by me(61) and other 3 bikes behind him. From the left, the second bike visible at the top of the photo catches up to me later in the race. We pass each other a couple of times but on the last lap he crashes in turn 7 trying to pass me.
